HOSTS for HOSPITALS (HfH) is a nonprofit agency now in its 21st year of operations. HfH provides deeply discounted lodging as a caring response to the housing needs of patients and their families who come to Greater Philadelphia for specialized medical care. The housing needs are met through the use of volunteer-Host and Private-Setting homes.
Cathy Davis was born and raised in Philadelphia and now resides in West Mt Airy with her husband and 3 daughters. She is an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Chestnut Hill where she co-chaired the Outreach Committee for 5 years. This gave her the opportunity to work with HOSTS for HOSPITALS as well as other local non-profits. Cathy and her family have been HOSTS for 13 years and often take International students as well. “Hosting families in need made every day a teaching moment in our house. Our children witnessed how people all over the world can become unified when faced with challenging medical situations. We taught them what a difference showing kindness and hospitality makes in the world!”
