Polar Plunge - 2010

Club President Andy Jenkins, along with Club members John Sanville and Al Iacocca, participated in the Brandywine Valley Association's (BVA) Polar Plunge on February 13, 2010. This event helps raise funds to protect and conserve the natural resources of the Brandywine Valley. Longwood Rotary contributed over $500 and with the cooperation of the Unionville Interact Club (Rotary Club for high school students) collected over $1100.  This was the second year in a row we won the "Golden Plunger Award" for the organization collecting the most money for the BVA.    several times on NBC-10 in Philadelphia during the week of August 10. 
   We were proud to work with the Good Neighbors organization to help
   Rick and Cindy Patton enjoy life a little better in their renovated home.
