                                     Kathryn Hall and Lynn McConville show us how one person's vision became the mission of

                                     many as they introduced solar power to The Gambia. Find out what's next in their remarkable

                                     plan to help an appreciative nation.

                                     Talented young dancers will have you tapping your foot to the mesmerizing rhythms of           

                                     Ireland as a glimpse of "Riverdance" comes to the Desmond!

 

9:55 AM                Alex’s Lemonade Foundation (Plenary #3) - Jay Scott

                                     Jay Scott will share the amazing story of his daughter Alex and her “Alex’s Lemonade Stand,”

                                     which is now a mega foundation behind contributions by thousands of young volunteers. 

                                     You'll also meet our truly special guest, 8-year-old Althea Hutchinson, a top Alex's

                                     fundraiser with a remarkable story of her own.

                              Understanding - Karen Rogers
                                     Popular local TV personality and previous Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar Karen Rogers

                                     will describe her journey to and through the public media and how Rotary became a

                                     significant part of it.

 

1:20 PM                Peace and Conflict Resolution (Plenary #4)

                                     Lt. D.F. Pace, Rotary District 7450 Peace Fellowship Winner, sponsored by the
                                     Philadelphia Rotary Club, takes us to Thailand as he describes his 3 months studying
                                     violence prevention, mediation and compromise building and what he has brought home

                                     to the City of Brotherly Love.
 

2:15 PM                Polio Eradication (Plenary # 5)

                                     “We’re THIS Close!”  You'll get up-to-the-minute news from RI President's Representative Ann

                                     Lee Hussey on Rotary’s progress in eliminating polio worldwide. Ann Lee is a polio survivor

                                     and NID team leader who will move you and make you prouder than ever to be a Rotarian!

                              “The Power of Curiosity and Wonder”

                                     Sharon Parker is an inspired and inspiring presenter - one of the best! You'll be captivated by

                                     her look at the monumental change and awesome outreach that result when we go with

                                     our curiosity, explore our daydreams and commit ourselves to service. This recently retired

                                     school district superintendent and widely experienced educator is a Rotarian who will

                                     enthrall you with insight and humor as she describes the colorful path that has led to

                                     her emerging Waterbridge Children's Project initiative designed to support teaching and

                                     learning in US territory schools. Sharon's joyous passion for everything life offers is sure

                                     to stir yours!
